Instructor Bio:
My name is Shay Boga and I’m the Perennial Production Manager at Peoria Gardens. My passion for horticulture and perennial plants started in 2018 when I did an internship at Peoria Gardens. You could say that my passion for plants bloomed later in life, but I’ve been obsessed with learning about perennials since starting to work at Peoria. I worked my way up from intern to Perennial Shipping Lead to Perennial Production Manager; the entirety of my career at Peoria has been in the perennial area.
In my free time, I love working in the garden with my cat and partner. We have a beautiful perennial cut flower garden that I like to make floral arrangements with to have fresh flowers around the house. My cat is a great assistant! When not in the garden or at work, I enjoy rock climbing, backpacking, going to ecstatic dance or moving my body
