IMPORTANT:  If you are going to be out of town that weekend, check to see if a friend or family member can pick up your bees for you!  The nucs are in bee-tight boxes suitable for travel.  They can place your nuc where your hive will be, crack open the entrance, and leave the bees for you to install when you return home.

Questions?  Call us at (541) 929-3524 or email rachel@shonnards.com

Be sure to have your hive equipment assembled, painted, and ready for your bees.  You will also need some sugar syrup made ahead of time (cooled to room temperature) to feed your bees once they are installed in the hive.  You can view our sugar syrup tutorial here.  Protein patties are also a good addition – your bees have some pollen and honey in reserve, but will be growing quickly and will benefit from the nutritional boost as they become established.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Upon your arrival, enter our store through the main doors and check-in at our floral counter located on the south side of our store. We’ll ask for your name to find your order, and then send you out to get your bees.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, you’ll notice a few other changes designed to offer the safest shopping environment, so we encourage you to please follow the link below, and read more.
