Indoor Bonsai Care

Bonsai Care

Light

Bonsai need plenty of light. Bonsai usually require bright indirect light but they will do best in a window with some direct light.

Watering

Bonsai pots are designed to hold a minimum of soil and have excellent drainage. For this reason bonsai have a tendency to dry-out quickly. Water your bonsai whenever the surface appears dry. Keep a close eye on it especially in summer, when it’s in direct sunlight, or if it is near a heating element.

Fertilize

Fertilize actively growing bonsai once a month with a balanced, soluble indoor fertilizer, following package instructions. During the fall and winter, when their growth slows, fertilize once every 2-3 months.
