Our staff are here to assist you all season long, helping you to determine where and when to dig the hole, along with the right plant and soil to fill it with. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff welcome the opportunity to answer your questions.
Discover Plants You Will Love
Our extensive Plant Finder Tool contains a wealth of information about many of the plants we carry. Use this tool to look up growing and care information on specific plants, to view the primary attributes of your plants and see how they might look and grow over time, or to find the ideal plants for your landscape and garden needs.
You can bookmark your favorite plants for future reference, or create your own plant list, print it, and then bring it to the store. Our friendly staff can then help you find the plants or suggest alternatives based on what’s currently available, as some plants are only seasonally available.
Plant Warranty
Our goal is for you to have success with our plants. We want to know if you are having problems right away so we are able to correct the problem. We will honor a one-year warranty on trees and shrubs.
In-store Potting Service
Have a houseplant that’s years old, and is long overdue to be repotted in a bigger container?
Do you have a pot at home and would like help getting your newly purchased plant potted into it?
Need help determining what pot size or the best soil a plant needs to thrive?
Whether it’s an indoor or outdoor plant, we can do the dirty work for you. We are here to help plant your plants into their container homes, with the right soil combination to keep them happy for years to come.
Potting fees are based on pot size.
All charges listed include soil and labor.
4” pot – $2.00
6” pot – $3.00
8” pot – $4.00
10” pot – $5.00
12” pot – $6.00
13” pot and larger is $1.00 per gallon of soil

Large Container Potting Service
We are happy to help you choose the perfect plants and get them planted in containers for your special occasion, or ready them for you to enjoy all season long at your business or home.
Rate is $55 an hour, plus materials (pot, plants, soil, and fertilizer).
You can make a container planting order and request it for store pickup, or we can make an appointment to come to your location and plant your containers that are on-site.
Please submit a container planting request, and we will follow-up within 1 week.
Potting Services Disclaimers
For container plantings
We typically use annual plants which bloom and grow beautifully while they are in season, generally a 3-month period in our climate. Therefore, we are not able to offer a warranty for annuals.
On-site potting services do not include drip irrigation setup
Our team is not responsible for ensuring that your irrigation system is running properly.
If you need irrigation services, we are happy to submit an irrigation service request for you. Our irrigation crew will contact you to coordinate the service. The best way to request irrigation services is to call us at 541-929-3524, then select option 2 for landscape services.
Find the Pottery You Need
Add class and style to your indoor and outdoor living spaces and gardens. Pottery makes a stunning focal point inside or outside, and is a great accent to any room or landscape.
At Shonnard’s, we carry a range of colors and styles to fit any lifestyle, including glazed ceramic, terracotta, and plastic pottery. Browse our selection to display your favorite flowers and plants in a special, meaningful way.
Pots are also a great way to protect your plants from dogs, rabbits, and other animals who like to dig or munch. There are a multitude of benefits that come when you choose to utilize pottery and container plantings.
We offer a wide array of annuals and perennials to fill your pots, and are always happy to assist you in making your selections!
Spring and Fall Planting Days
Twice a year we offer FREE potting services to all customers who purchase plants during our Planting Days weekend. Sign up for our newsletter so you will know when the next Planting Days weekend is happening!
During these events, we encourage you to bring in your own containers, 14 inches or smaller, and we will pot your purchased plants using a premium organic potting soil at no extra charge.
House Plants
We love house plants at Shonnard’s, and when you come by we hope you feel the love too! Visit our store, or checkout our amazing indoor plant selection online for whatever the occasion may be.
