Tips for Extending Summer Color
Keep your hanging baskets and annuals blooming all summer by deadheading and fertilizing.
Deadheading keeps flowers and plants producing. When old leaves and flowers are left on the plant it focuses on keeping them alive instead of new growth.

Another important step is to fertilize toward the end of the season to keep the flowers looking their best. Using an organic fertilizer will last longer into the fall than a non-organic or synthetic fertilizer.
